I played the Party Poker TV tournament earlier in the week. It was 6 handed and with 4 left i had 260,000 out of 600,000. Managed to finish 3rd which was a bit disappointing. The blinds shot up and it became a shove fest three handed and i didn't get lucky!

Got a really packed poker schedule for the next few months which is exciting. I also just moved into a house i purchased in London, and tied up alot of money that will not be going back into the poker community :-)

After the horrendous January that i had in 2006 and 2007... i finally managed to have a profitable start to the year, with my third best winning month on record. Been running bad for the last week so i'm glad i started the year well!

Ben,
Did you see Todd Brunson's critique of a hand you played against him at the WSOPE. It's here: http://europe.cardplayer.com/magazine/author/article/167?page=2
It'd be fascinating to hear your side of it because Brunson clearly has something of a selective memory for hands he loses.

I agree with Howard, I would also love to hear your side of the story. Although, Brunson is clearly biased in his account because, by the sound of it, he is trying to justify his own mistake!

hehe

I remember the hand. Think i may have started with three low suited cards... and decided to stick with it to see whether i could catch another low card or another flush card. When they kep getting high cards i kept putting more bets in.

I've hardly an eight or better expert... especially at limit. I probably didn't play it how an expert in the game would play it. I'm going to put a load of practice in at HORSE as i plan on playing the $50k one in Vegas this year!
